The word finger: what a curious one it is. As an ESL student, one might see the -er ending and think, oh, something is "finging", and look up the verb "to fing." What would they find? I wondered, and so I looked it up on dictionary.com, was rerouted to Acronym Finder, and found this:

another thing: if you simply put in a dash, you can create a euphemism. who knows what it is?
